WTCC Race of Hungary

12.05.2017 - 14.05.2017
Mogyoród, Hungary

The second event of the eSports WTCC took place at the Hungaroring. The venue in Hungary is always a season highlight, thanks to local hero Norbert Michelisz and the enthusiastic fans. As a result, it was very crowded and a great atmosphere at the RaceRoom truck as well. The battles already started on the leaderboard, when Esteban Guerrieri challenged Pawel Krezelok for the best time.

On Sunday, it was time for the 20 minute race. Esteban Guerrieri showed his skills in the qualifying and claimed the pole position, but Márk Nándori, who also participates in the online championship and already won a race there, was just over a tenth behind. But his race already ended at the start and he had to park his car. Guerrieri took the lead, while the fights in the midfield were frantic.

Behind Guerrieri, Bence Neszveckso, the winner of Monza, drove a solid race and he was able to defend his second position from Bartlomiej Mirecki. The winner was Esteban Guerrieri though, equalizing the score between the real WTCC drivers and the challengers. The whole event was streamed live on Youtube and the replay can be viewed below.
