Settings and Options

Aspect Ratio

Choose the Aspect Ratio that matches your monitor. If you are running 1920×1080 resolution the corresponding aspect ratio would be 16:9.

Vsync

Turn Vsync on if you experience tearing problems or unstable framerate. Disable Vsync to reduce input/render lag.

Resolution

After you choose the correct Aspect Ratio of your screen, you can adjust the resolution. If you suffer from performance issues you can try running a lower resolution.

Field of view

The field of view (abbreviated FOV) is the extent of the observable game world that is seen on the display at any given moment. A multiplicator of 1 equals a vertical FOV of 58 degrees.

Fullscreen

Choose whether to run the game in fullscreen or windowed mode. Fullscreen mode usually results in better performance and is recommended.

Toggle Mirrors

This setting will enable/disable the rear mirrors on your car (not the virtual mirrors provided by the game itself)

Track Level of detail

Choose the amount of details displayed on the race tracks. Lowering this settings will help your performance, but the tracks will miss some details such as spectators and other trackside objects.

Car LOD Distance setting

This setting controlls the “Level of Detail” (LOD) of the cars. You can adjust the distance where the game starts to show less detailed car models to save performance. If set to “high” that means the distance where low detailed cars are visible is larger than for example on the “medium” setting.

Particle Detail

Adjust the quality of smoke and dust effects generated by cars going through gravel pits or spinning wheels.

Tiremarks

Enable or disable marks on the tarmac being left by the cars tires.

Specular

Enable or disable sun reflections on the asphalt.

Car Reflection Quality

Adjust the quality of the reflections on your car body. Using the low setting will result in a big performance boost.

Track Animations

Enable or disable animated characters on the track, such as marshalls and mechanics. This setting will have no effect on the spectators.

Shadows

This setting controls the quality and resolution of the shadows in the environment. Using the low setting will result in a big performance boost.

Car Shadows

This setting controls the quality and resolution of the shadows casted by the cars. Using the low setting will result in a big performance boost.

Contact Shadows

This setting controls the number of cars that cast a shadow directly under the car. A high number is recommended. It won´t affect the performance much.

Shadow Split

This setting enables/disables a special render technique for shadows that helps scaling shadows over distance. Turn it on for higher quality shadows. Turn it off for a performance boost.

Multi Sampling

Adjust the amount of Multi Sampling Anti-Aliasing. The higher the number the less jagged edges you will see in game.

FXAA

This special method of Anti-Aliasing will further soften your image. Turn it on to reduce jagged edges. Turn it off for a sharper image.

Bloom

Bloom is a post-processing effect that emulates light emerging from bright spots on the screen as it happens often with real cameras.

Motion Blur

Choose between two methods of motion blur:
fast (less accurate but better performing) and complex (more accurate but heavier impact on performance.

Motion Blur Quality

Adjust the overall quality of motion blur.

Light Shafts

Enable/Disable sun rays.

Lens effects

Enable/Disable effects caused by the camera lens.

Track texture quality

Adjust the resolution of textures used on the tracks.

Car texture quality

Adjust the resolution of textures used on the cars.

Rear view mirror quality

Adjust the resolution of the car mirrors.

Shader Quality

Adjust the overall quality of shaders.

Corner Markers/Kurven Markierungen

Corner markers are there to help you navigate around the track.

Animated Driver

Enable/Disable driver hands on steering wheel in cockpit view.

Wheel Rotation

Adjust the amount of degrees the in-game wheel is using.
Only works if animated driver is disabled.

Shift Mode

Choose whether you want to shift yourself or to use auto-shift.

Auto Clutch

Choose whether you want to clutch yourself or to use auto-clutch.

Channels

Choose how many sound channels the game should put out. It is recommended to match the number of channels of your sound system.

Master Volume

Controls the overall volume of the game.

Menu Volume

Controls the volume of the menu effects.

Player Volume

Controls the volume of the players car sound.

Opponents Car

Controls the volume of the opponents car sound.

Engine Volume

Controls the volume of the engine sound relative to other sound effects generated by your car.

Effects Volume

Controls the volume of other effects (such as the transmission) generated by your car in relation to the engine sound

Road Noise

Controls the volume of the noise generated by the friction of your car as it drives over asphalt.

Scrub Volume

Controls the volume generated by tire scrubbing.

Skid Volume

Controls the volume generated by tire skidding.

Ambience Sound

Controls the volume of ambience sounds such as spectators, track commentators etc.

Reverb Factor

Controls the amount of reverberation of sounds.

Controller Profiles

This is the location where you find all default and custom profiles for your controllers. You start by using the default profile. As soon as you modify it, a custom profile will be created. Which means you can always go back to the default profile, if you are not happy with the changes you made. You can rename and delete your own custom profiles.

Primary Functions

Here you can find all the basic controls used by the game and assign buttons to them.

Secondary Functions

Here you can find more advanced controls used by the game and assign buttons to them.

H Pattern Shift

Enable this setting if you want to use a H-Shift device. Don´t forget to disable again when going back to paddle shifting. Failing to set this up correctly will result in mis-shifting problems.

Speed Sensitive Steering

Speed Sensitive Steering (SSS) helps to stay in control of the car by lowering the sensitivity of controller input at high speeds. It´s mainly helpful for gamepad drivers and not recommended for steering wheel users.

Min/Max Steering Speed

Adjusts the gap (minimum and maximum speed) where Speed Sensitive Steering (SSS) takes effect.
For example: If you set Min Steering Speed to 50 and Max Steering speed to 200, that means SSS will only start to take effect after your car has reached 50 km/h and will have reached its maximum effect at the speed of 200 km/h.

Analog Sectors

Here you can adjust the sensitivity of your steering input divided by 3 sectors.
For example you can decrease the sensitivity when starting to turn in, but increase the amount when reaching higher steering angles.

This is mainly helpful for gamepad drivers and not taken into account for steering wheels.

Return Multiplier

The Return Multiplier adjusts the velocity the in-game wheel centers itself after letting go the analogue stick on your game controller. This setting has no effect on Steering wheels.

Steering/Throttle/Brake Sensitivity

Adjust the linearity of your Steering/Brake/Throttle Axes.
Increasing the Sensitivity will result in bigger output by maintaining the same input.

It is not recommended for steering wheel users to modify these settings.

Throttle/Brake/Clutch Dead Zone

Adjust the amount of dead zone on your pedal Axes.
Only recommended if your input device has faulty neutral positions.
