RACEXP Simulator Competition Malaysia

From 3rd to 8th November 2015 RACEXP hosted the first RaceRoom simulator racing competition in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

 

Sim racers, local professional racers and race celebrities such as Ian Khong from Grass Racing Autosports came to participate. The event was held in one of the famous malls in Kuala Lumpur called “Paradigm Mall”.

In total 250 participants fought for their spot in the final race, turning the air conditioned Paradigm Mall into a racing inferno.

 

The Top 100 was split into 10 groups, during each elimination heat only the top 2 moved on to the semifinals. The top 5 drivers of each semifinal got qualified for the final race. Sim racer and also professional race drivers made it to the intense finale. The Champion title earned the 17 year old Malaysia go-cart driver Aiman Haziq.

On second position finished Gan Han Liang a sim racing enthusiast and the 3rd position on the podium was catched by Tengku Ezan Ley” an accomplished professional Malaysian race driver, who is in fact the brother of the famous driver Tengku Djan Ley. Tengku Djan himself and the other professional drivers wanted to participate as well, but the Malaysia Championship Series was held in the same weekend.
